Marvel Now Point One
As this goes to press Marvel Comics are preparing to unleash what it hope will counter DC Comics New 52 onslaught but i cant help thinking that The House of Ideas is following rather than leading, the whole thing feels like a hotchpotch of ill thought out ideas, panic cancellations and panic relaunches.
First off we have aforementioned Marvel Point One and Uncanny Avengers #1 an all new ongoing series, you know what i mean just like the last all new ongoing title and the one before that and the one before that... Oh and A+X #1 well that's an original title, wonder how long it took them to think of that one.

The core Avengers titles enter into an end time story arc.
while Avengers Assemble #8 will be its final issue
Other Final Issues are
Captain America #19 (Recently relaunched with much fanfare)
Mighty Thor #22 (Also Recently relaunched with much fanfare)
Incredible Hulk #15 (Hulking great relaunch and another promised ongoing title bites the dust)
Invincible Iron Man #527 ( Relaunched then returned to original numbering only to be relaunched again)
Uncanny X Men #20 (another recently relaunched title for the chop)
X Men Legacy #275 (was the X-Men became X-Men Legacy and i'm sure its been called something else at some time or another)
Is it just me of is there a picture forming here

Both the brilliant FF and The Fantastic Four by Jonathan Hickman are to have final issues too. The Future Foundation was to be an all new all shinning ongoing sister book to the Fantastic Four which had been returned to its original numbering less than a year ago after the last relaunch and with the resurrection of Johnny Storm. Yes i know that Hickman is rumored to be taking over the Avengers but i just don't care. I love Hickman's work and i don't doubt that i will read his new stuff and enjoy it....But does Marvel really need to give us another final issue of the Fantastic Four? maybe they could call it the Final Final Issue, and to cancel the FF after just 22 issues? well its just not cricket.

Red Hulk becomes Red She Hulk with #58, oh and its an All New Ongoing Too, Woopie!!
and Ultimate Spider-Man gets a point one... Yawn!

The Marvel Teaser War images it turns out are referring to a new Punisher War Zone!?! How disappointing
Dexter get a new series written by new york best seller author of Dexter Jeff Lindsay.
And Wolverine gets a MAX-Over

So there it is Marvels Heckle pickled move into the future but with recent all new ongoing series being cancelled, titles being relaunched, then returning to there original numbering and being relaunched again one wonders if the House of Ideas has lost the plot.
A well mannered outlook by your favorite well mannered boy.
