So who are you then, and what do you do?
I am Nic Wilkinson. I am an Artist by Night. What I
do during the hours of daylight is best not discussed in civilised
forums.
What have you done that I might recognise?
I have been drawing Extinction Protocol, a
Starship Troopers strip in the monthly Signs and Portents
magazine, written by Cy Dethan, for a little over a year now.
Remember This Moment, a story in the upcoming Layer 0
volume 2, is out in October 2007 and is also a Cy Dethan script
with my art.
What have you done that I don't know about?
Nothing that you can prove!
Tell me something you have not told anyone else.
The other day we offered our cat, Ripley, the option to
choose the path of domestic drudgery, symbolised by a duster,
or the path of vengeance, symbolised by a ray gun. She chose
the path of vengeance. She thinks violent thoughts.
Chocolate or Chips?
Oooh…. chocolate chips….in cookies.
What word do you think is underused?
Sequacious. Don't you?
What book do you wish you had worked on?
V for Vendetta, The Anatomy Lesson episode of The Saga
of the Swamp Thing, Halo Jones, Slaine the Horned God or Charley's
War. If I had been responsible for any of those I would judge
my time on earth to have been well spent and my place in paradise
well earned. Actually pretty much anything by Alan Moore or
Pat Mills - but those especially.
What book do you think would have been better if you had
worked on it?
Pride and Prejudice - I would have put lots more talking
dinosaurs in it…and probably some pirates.
Are you underpaid or overrated?
For which of my talents?
JLA or Avengers?
Let me instead propose Next Wave or ABC Warriors…. ….and
I think ABC Warriors win by a whisker. A beautiful pointy
whisker as drawn by Kev O'Neill.
Thanos or Darkseid?
Ummm…..Slaine?
Judge Dredd or Hellboy?
Tricky, tricky….
Have to say Hellboy. He does have the Right Hand of Doom
after all. He could so beat Dredd in a fist fight.
Are your choices influenced by your current employer?

No, anyway, no.

If you could be involved in telling a story featuring
any two characters, who would they be?
Nemesis the Warlock and Tony Blair.
If you were a sandwich, what would your filling be?
Sticky.
Can you get me a job?
How are you at fighting giant ants?
Save the world or rule the galaxy?
Rule the galaxy … Well there's no point saving the world
if someone else has already got the galaxy is there?
One thing that annoys you about comic fans? (Only one
please!!)
Bad continuity and uneven character development in their
origin stories.
CGC - blessing or curse?
I never sell my comics so blissful ignorance on that score?
Who sent this to you and do you like them or merely tolerate
them?
Cy Dethan sent this to me.
I worship him.
He rocks my world.
Who are you going to send this on to and do you think

I don't know any comics creators to send it to.
If I meet some I will definitely send it to them though.
